CUIK hasn't
really been...
quick!

Because shortcuts

don't build legacies

CUIK was born from a local idea — to give small businesses and community organisations the visibility they deserve. To replace the waste and limits of corflute signs with something smarter, measurable, more connected, and built to last.

We wanted to create a community-driven navigation platform that helps people explore their region, powered by commercial partners so non-profits never lose their voice.
And we wanted to build it right here in Nelson — by locals, for locals.

The idea started in 2019. Then came COVID, red tape, and a fair bit of doubt.
But in December 2023, Nelson Airport took a chance on us — our first kiosk went live.
It wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t meant to be. Innovation rarely is.

We’ve learnt to fail fast, adapt faster, and keep chasing better. Perfection isn’t our destination — it’s our journey. By December 2024, Kaiteriteri joined the story with our first fully outdoor kiosk — reaching thousands of visitors every day. In April 2025, we partnered with Nelson Coachlines to manage every bus-back advert across Nelson-Tasman — taking CUIK’s mission from static screens to moving stories. Later that year, Kaikōura became our first regional partner, and our third Nelson-Tasman kiosk will soon launch at Millers Acre in the CBD. We’re proud to employ locals, collaborate with local artists and innovators, and reinvest back into the communities that shaped us. Because CUIK isn’t just built in Nelson — it’s built for Nelson. CUIK is proof that good ideas take time, courage, and a stubborn refusal to quit. So watch this space — or better yet, find a kiosk, tap a screen, and be part of the story that’s still being written.
